DId anyone catch Mine All Mine tonight on ITV1 - brilliant, the best comedy drama on ITV1 in years.

The basic premise is Griff Rhys Jones stars as a man who inherits the whole of Swansea. Bizarre, but not implausible!

The supporting cast were brilliant though, especially the kids. Some brilliant scripted and visual gags as well - especially the "Hello Dolly" scene and the lawyers arriving in taxis.

A very good twist at the end as well (which I won't spoil if you've taped it!).

Yes, I thought it was excellent! Wasn't sure if it would work towards the beginning but by the end I was more than convinced.

Love the slightly non-PC "gay boy" comments too!

Mine All Mine won it's slot last night - but with only 5m viewers, so a bit disapointing really. However, I'm a Celebrity only had 7.4m, a couple of million down on earlier in the week.

I really like anything Griff Rhys Jones is involved in, and this was no exception. It's a welcome boost for him after Restoration.

Well it was written by Russell T Davies who also wrote Queer As Folk, so he can probably get away with it!

It was brilliant great to see Ruth Madoc back and love the dark handsome brother.

Why is it 10m people will watch the critically slammed EastEnders - but only 3.8m tuned in for Mine All Mine last night - losing over 3m viewers from The Bill.

IMO it's the best ITV1 drama series in a long time, but is it destined to be dropped mid-run?

I guess this illustrates why ITV1 concentrate more on the Mon/Tue 9pm drama premieres now - it doesn't really matter if a one-off drama is not successful.

As a side-note, Stan The Man is airing on ITV3 now (Sat nights I think). Didn't ITV1 drop this mid-series - I've got a feeling it was relegated to a couple of 11pm episodes over Christmas.

Because people like to make there own mind up, Rolling Eyes rather then just going on what the critics say- who most of which just follow bandwagons anyway.
