Sky Onc putting on quite a nice show tonight for the live Celebs v Legends showdown.

Looks like they'll be using the Sky Sports graphics set. Good studio guests too, Andy Gray, Sam Allerdyce, Bobby Robson and George Best. Not sure who will be commentating.

I don't think this show has really captured a major public audience this week, but they seemed to have pulled off a fairly polished show.

I think it's the Sky Sports airship. Or the airship Sky Sports normally use anyway.

Blimey, the game is fully interactive too, including some interesting 'goal cam' shots.

Wasn't expecting this from a Sky Onc production.

Yes - it makes Bravo's attempt at a similar venture look rather feeble in comparison, doesn't it?

Though if they start doing in-game programme promos like that on a regular basis...

Andy Gray has said the pics are from a helicopter. So maybe they are using SkyCopter after all.

I did see the SkyCopter filming some boring shots of Faslane, Scotland earlier today,

"The finale of Sky One reality show The Match, in which a group of minor celebrities took on a team of former professional footballers led by former England captain Bryan Robson, proved the network's biggest hit of the year last night, attracting more than 2 million viewers."

That must be the biggest jump in audience history - they only had 100,000 viewers on Saturday night - but were up against The X Factor.

There was no real appetite for the "reality" aspect of this show during the course of the week, however Sky viewers love football, even if it's a bunch of has beens against a bunch of celebs.

Think that'll be worked on next year. I'm not sure the format worked very well; watching the celebs playing pool hardly helped me envisage how training was going.

Also, it needs a bit more time too. Perhaps spread over a few weeks it might work a little better.

The actual event I thought was excellent. What a great chip over Bonetti ...

Looking at Saturday's ratings I thought the show would have done really badly on Sunday, but how wrong I was. Though I was very suprised to see St James' stadium full, when celebrity themed football matches are hosted at stadiums (Soccer Six for example) they are never full, but last night was suprising.

There seem to be no weekends off for Sky Sports staff is there? Laughing
