Nice to see Concorde in the titles Very Happy

Surely a flying Concorde is going to make the titles date very quickly.

Well they're already dated then aren't they?! Bit of a weird thing to say if it's common knowledge that Concorde no longer flies... it's just a West connection they obviously wanted to keep.

Well, yes they are dated already if you like, and the common knowledge that it no longer flies makes the image instantly look very obviously old, which surely isn't what you want for a news programme?

But the "local news" isn't just local news. I remember when they called it "Regional News & Magazine" - which seems appropriate

Is there such a phrase as "growing OFF you", as that's what this new look is doing for me after further viewing?

The more I see, the less I like it, I'm afraid; and the weather was still unreadable tonight on the fuzzy screen.

Did you notice the fact that yesterday, the blue bar at the bottom telling us what day we're on wasn't there - but today it was, with the whole map squashed slightly to accommodate it.

I'm loving the closing titles - love the closing bed, it's good enough to dance to !

I've got back off my holidays and watched PW tonight, love the new theme and indeed the new set, very funky.

Don't like the little desk and would rather see the weather graphics on screen instead of a plasma screen in the studio. Apart from that, very happy!

I much prefer 'Regional News Magazine' to 'local news'. Sound much more friendly. Smile

Considering the amount of work that went into the jet over the past 30-odd years in Bristol, it really is an icon of the city.

I was vaguely concious that something was different, but didn't pick up exactly what, DAS.

We of the "varifocal brigade" haven't finished wobbling our heads up and down to try to focus by the time the shot changes and we've lost what we were trying to read.

I think the people at BBC Bristol are under the impression that we all have 20/20 vision and don't consider people with lesser sight as important enough to know what the weather's going to be like.

Sad, but true, I think.

A Wonderfull Icon for the whole country, I was privalliged to have travelled on her, and I am pleased that she has been imortilised by Points West.
Richard Angwin was in the show at 2225 doing the weather did he do this in the past??

Not previously - must be recorded at a guess.

Not sure whether that used to happen, but it would almost certainly have been pre-recorded in the evening.

Incidentally, last week on Points West, the lunchtime presenter threw to Richard who began his forecast with "Two... One... Hello there". A bit of a pre-record giveaway that one!
