Hi! I created this thread so people can judge what is the best News presentation.

Here are the categories:

So this will be my judgement:

Best Ident = BBC World 7sec (Present)
Best Countdown = BBC News 24 (1999 - 2003)
Best Promo = Sky News (Present)
Best Studio = BBC News 24 (1999 - 2001?)
Best Breakfiller = BBC World (Present)
Best Titles = BBC Newyddion (Present)
Best Sting = BBC World (Present)

I liked the BBC News studio 2001-2003 best, and the ITV News theme tune of 1999-2004 - but not the titles.

Best Countdown: BBC World
Best Promo: BBC News 24
Best Studio: Sky News
Best Breakfiller: BBC World
Best Titles: Sky News

Best Ident? BBC World 5sec fast ident 2003-
Best Countdown? BBC World 2001-2003
Best Promo? ITV News, for over 50 years ITV news has been there.
Best Studio? ITV News
Best Breakfiller? BBC World 2001-2003 The David Lowe Mix
Best Titles? ITN News At Ten 1980's
they had the most impact in my opinion and are the definition of what News is about in the UK.
Possibly only BBC News At Nine titles from late80's to early90's may be just as good, the transmitter mast titles.
Best Sting? ITV News Channel

Best Studio: Newsnight and Newsnight Review

Best Titles: Breakfast News 1997-2000, albeit not very newsy, quite nice all the same. Oh and Breakfast, from 2000. Nice titles with suitable music for that time of the morning. Corporate, but not as brash as current version. 1 more PLEASE! BBC Nine O'Clock News fishfingers. great music, and impressive graphics for 1985.
