FW reminds me of a story full of witches and half human horses... The show is so far fetched. It's worse than whats written in dear deirdre. Oh well, I'll keep watching now I've started, I'll be annoyed if I dont find out what happens.
The whole gay sex thing is annoying, I wish theyd give more than just 5 minutes an episode for it. I'm not gay, just the plot is slow moving.
The Archbishop of Canterbury has urged Christians to reject the self-seeking lifestyle typified by the hit ITV television series, Footballers' Wives.
In an Easter message, Dr Rowan Williams said the programme portrayed a world in which good qualities like charity and fairness had been swept side.
Writing in Outlook, the diocese's newspaper, he said it represented "different kinds of selfish behaviour."
The makers of the programme told the Observer they agreed with the bishop.
'Shallow world'
Eileen Gallagher of Shed Productions said: "I think he has made a good point. We wanted Footballers' Wives as basically an antidote to all the overblown celebrity we now see in society."
She said researching the programme had revealed a world that was often "shallow and money-obsessed".
Dr Williams has often drawn parallels from popular culture as metaphors for his religious messages and has said he likes The Simpsons.
But he said the characters in Footballers Wives treated each other as rivals for the same space, although God had given space to all.
The challenge at Easter was to examine how we regard foreigners and refugees, he added.
For those upset about Footballers' Wives cutting the Gay sex scene in Episode 8 (This weeks) well you can see it after all on ITV2. The scene will air in a documentary for the digital station ITV2 called Footballers' Wives Exposed and is being shown straight after the final episode on ITV1 so thats April 7th at 10pm over on ITV2.
Dont forget Episode 7 re:play Tonight on ITV2 at 10:30. I thought Ep 7 was a great episode. The best bit for me was this quote:
"I could call the press you know. Tell them your boys an arse bandit as well as a common thief!"
I'll be watching naturally! I love the show though, I think it's good that it's pushed the boundaries. Very good scriptwriting too I think. I think it would work very fell as a late night soap.
Best quote - "Let's go into the bedroom and see what comes up."
Amber is pregnant!
Tanya is pregnant!
Hazel has breast cancer!
Kyle is not returning in the 4th series - so he has to be killed off!
Noah is leaving
Your fourth qoute isn't entirely true, even though it is true that [highlight to read]:
that kyle is not going to be in series 4, he does not get killed off, he is actually carted off to a psycihatric unit.
This is not definite, but i think ive got it right!
My school has an annual speech night, and last week was this years speech night, we had the former head of religion at the BBC talking to us. The usually boring speech night was slightly more entertaing with him talking about TV, one thing he mentioned was programmes not telling the truth, he mentioned footballers wives. He said, and I quote: 'Corrie tells us this is the way to act, 24 hour quiz tells us that this is a brilliant show, and footballers wives tells us that sex, power and money is all we need to make the world go round.' He then concluded by saying, they are all wrong. I was slightly baffled why he was telling us something we already knew, apart from what he said about 24 hour quiz, IT IS A GREAT SHOW, IT IIIISSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
does anyone know if the jacob & co watch with the pink strap worn by Amber is a fake ?, or do the producers supply the real thing
they cost a bomb if they do
I think it could be real, but I have noticed before that on Conrad's and I think Tanya's watch, the second hand does not move, so seemingly they are batteryless.
