Panorama Special - What's the point of the BBC?

What a marvelous programme that shows great courage for the BBC to broadcast a programme that questions the broadcasters' own purpose. I thoroughly enjoyed the studio debate and the three main questions / topics that were debated: about the programmes and quality; about the funding of the BBC and about whether it should be regulated more heavily.

Can i gain any more views from people on this programme, as I am very interested to know your thoughts.
