By the way, how are Corrie supposed to be refering to the non appearence of Sally Webster at the mo, bearing in mind Sally Whittaker has just popped yet another sprog?

They're not referring to her at all, she's just disappeared off screen. Most of her last scenes were filmed behind cars or the bookies counter so you couldn't see her bump. I think when she left in the past it was always to go and look after her sick mother or something, but this time they're just not referring to her at all, guess it's easier that way. You just need a couple of references from Kevin that Sally's got the tea on and the viewers hardly miss them.

Well this is Sally Whittakers third child, when she was written out to have her 2nd child back in 1997 she went to look after her sick mother, and Kevin had an affair with Natalie while she was away. But now her mother has died on the show, they probabaly couldnt be bothered to think of something to write her out, she hardly ever appeared in the show before her maternity leave anyway so I doubt anyone had noticed her absence.

When she returns I hope they give her a decent storyline, now the writers are looking to write less for the teenage characters there is hope she will get a storyline.

I hope Mark Charnock, the actor who plays Marlon Dingle, picks up a long deserved award somewhere along the line this year. He is one of the few soap actors who is great at comedy, and outstanding at grief. His show of emotion on hearing that Tricia had all but passed away brought a lump to my throat, so I imagine next week will be even more harrowing Crying or Very sad

has anyone worked out the music used the other night yet? Is it Coldplay or Faithless?

Coldplay and Massive Attack.

Nice to see a good credit sequence, with no ECP and the background music allowed to continue through the sequence, rather than interupting it with the theme tune.

I'm afraid when he starts crying or screaming out 'Triciaaa' I can't help but find it funny... I don't think he does it too well.

Yeh that was good, however talk about drawing Trisha's death out, blimey. I'm not sure I liked the bizarre scene which was obviously in Marlon's imagination with him talking to Trisha on the bench.

I mean I know Emmerdale is far from reality, but this was just surreal.

She was actually quite normal, compared to 'normal Tricia' !

The storylines in Emmerdale have improved in the last few months but IMO the show is still in far too much, 3/4 episodes a week is ample. Storylines are sometimes dragged on for far too long, Trisha's funeral is not until at least the week after next, so thats 6 episode or more of this storyline dragging on

I don't really watch Emmerdale but I have watched every episode since New Years Eve and I have to say it has been at its best, something which was last done about 4 or 5 years ago before I stopped watching. The whole exit has been very good, though not like Emmerdale at all, more like Brookside, especially with the whole Bench scene which was fantastic, to be honest it had me close to tears it was that good.

I was sobbing my eyes out. Even tonight, when all the mad Dingles were consoling him at the end. So emotional.

PS: Glad to see Scott and Zoe getting on better now.
