NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Shocked

It's the only quailty daytime programme there is at the moment! Please don't leave us with Fern Britton! I can imagine the TOGs will be against this news...

Please Say it ain't so!!

This is a Golden Opportunity! Please BBC, this is the ultimate moment in time to bring back Wogan's Web to lunchtimes!

This is bad news if it's going to be axed, something decent in the daytime other than lifestyle crap. Granted the ratings are p*ss poor but it is a good programme and the 150,000 who watch it like it, including myself. Though reading the article you can tell Five like it but it costs too much to produce. Though I wouldn't be bothered if they moved to a late afternoon slot, maybe 2.30pm or something like that?

I have to agree with fanoftv, Danny Baker has made the show so funny to watch, even funnier when they showed that clip this morning when he microwaved some soap for about 5 minutes, then he stopped it and then opened the microwave picked up the plate and didn't realise it was hot, then he swore but it was very funny stuff, though I don't know when this was as it was an archive clip.

Though Gaby did say at the end of the show that the programme will be back in January.

This must be the only other show on TV other than Countdown which is popular with old people and students.

Yep, the commission was for 40 weeks, and I think it started in May/June time. So it's got a bit to go yet

I don't think Wogan would want to do afternoons - It fits in well with WUTW at the Beeb till 0930 then a quick trip down Regent Street, Across to Trafalgar Square, Down Whitehall, across Westminster Bridge - he'll be at "County Hall" for just after ten ready to do the show at 11. He can then get back to Wogan towers for a late lunch with Helen at say 2pm.

I suspect he'll choose not to move to anaother slot.

Does 'The Shane Richie Experience' count ?
(Not that I watched it, of course !)

his nickname was 'the Legend' on there wasn't it? Or at least, that's what Peter Simon called him.... Why was Shane a gunge-shy wuss on there? Always ran out of the way when the gunge was coming and only asked the questions; left Peter to get the lot.... He only got gunged once when Peter Simon faked a broken leg and did Shane's job for one episode. Almost as gunge-shy as Pat Sharpe!

They have said that they are going to move Terry & Gaby to 5pm to go head to head with Richard & Judy. Couldn't they have put it at 2pm where Open House used to be? And what's going to happen to fivenews at 5:30?

I hope they are going to put it on at 5pm as that is a better time for students to watch, as I am only able to watch it a couple of days a week due to college. Though 5pm sounds great I don't think it will save the show, considering Richard and Judy gets 2 Million viewers and The Weakest Link gets 3 Million viewers, though viewing figures could increase at 5pm it wouldn't be enough to save the show. Though 2pm sounds far more suitable considering there is nothing major to compete with at 2pm except for Films and really poor Daytime shows. Though for teatime they are easier axing Family Affairs or something and have Five News move to 6.00, or move Terry and Gaby to 4.30 leaving enough time for the News.

Though you can see that Five are in divided into two with the show, as apparently they like it, but they know it is a big flop. Though if it is going to move out of the 11.00 slot maybe they could extend The Wright Stuff?

I think the show is excellent. It's well produced and a fun programme to watch. It's just getting people on the barb panel to watch it!

Yeah it is just a shame that more people at BARB don't watch the programme, as it is very good and it is a damn good alternative to offerings on BBC One and ITV, which are all aimed for women. This as I said is the only show other than Countdown which is popular to old people and students. You can tell Five like it, so do the critics, it has been even better since they got Danny Baker on the team. Plus Wogan is fantastic, though 11.00am isn't the best time for the show.

I have checked on the Internet and next week it is still on at 11.00am as usual.
