TV shows that moved channel?

That makes me think of Dappledown Farm actually- over 4 years after TV-am went off the air, Channel 5 repeated it, then made some new series of their own. Possibly the only TV-am show ever repeated outside of TV-am? Though technically TV-am's kids department had been spun off into an indie, Clear Idea Television, by the time Dappledown Farm was made (which curiously also made the later series of The Hit Man and Her).

Comedy series Brass from ITV to C4

Used to love The Hotel Inspector but it became a bit samey. Alex gets to the hotel and stays the night. Finds a pube in the shower. Whinges about towels on the bed. Owners flap about making her breakfast. They argue a bit. She redecorates a room, hangs up a new sign outside and invites “local movers and shakers” to awkwardly hang around eating canapés for a bit. Then she sods off.

Do most talkshows really count here, though? Parkinson might be an exemption as that was the same set and format and it's always treated like the same show in retrospect, but most of the others are a result of the talent moving channel to front another similar programme rather than the whole show being moved. The Jonathan Ross Show on ITV and Friday Night with Jonathan Ross are very, very similar, but they're not the same show.

Same with Graham Norton's various chat show incarnations mentioned on a previous page. The show didn't move, the presenter did. There's no way the BBC would have lifted So Graham Norton wholesale from Channel 4 as its content was way more risqué than his BBC One show.

I would say that Paul O'Grady's afternoon talk show The Paul O'Grady Show counts since the original 2004-09 run started on ITV (then ITV1) before moving to Channel 4 and when the show was revived for three seasons from 2013 to 2015, it returned on ITV.

In fact, after C4 What the Papers Say moved back to ITV for some years, appearing as part of the NightTime lineup, before jumping to BBC2. It was finally dropped from Radio 4 a couple of years ago; oddly, during that period it was credited as "A Granada format for BBC Radio 4" a good many years after the Granada name had been dropped from everything other than regional news.

Did Cartoonito make new versions of Sparks/LazyTown/George or did they just buy reruns of the previous episodes?

LazyTown aired on milkshake from 2013-2016.

But isn't that the same setup as countless other shows, such as Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares etc.? It falls on the host to make the show stand out as much as the content.

The Hotel Inspector was originally more creative though - Alex (and Ruth before her) would be around for a while and make various visits to the hotel, actually looking at the local area and tailoring the "fix" especially to that property. I'm also sure they used to revamp the whole hotel, adapting the use of rooms and entrances etc rather than just giving once room a coat of paint. Then the production got lazy, presumably the budget shrunk, and it fell into the repetitive format as masterfully described by all new Phil above - with added "Darling" and swearing along the way.
