For someone, and an outlet, that purports to care so much about "marginalised and overlooked voices" it sure is surprising that GB News' senior staff so far consists of Neil, Wooton, Brazier, John McAndrew and Angelos Frangopoulos. What DO they all have in common....?!
And if the GB News Twitter page and who they are "following" reflects their key staff at the moment there is no one from a BAME background.....
If Kay jumps ship too then this could be the new (old) Sky News... Interesting to see how this develops. I think there needs to be something to shake things up. BBC/SKY have become complacent. Nothing but a sleepy snoozefest these days. Almost apologetic if they should so much as read out a breaking news line on a rolling news channel
I'm guessing this and the over rumored overtures for Sky staff is being masterminded by former Sky News director of news John McAndrew who is now at GB News? Was he well liked by staff at Sky? If so, you might see a few more jump ship.
I think what we may be seeing is the Sky News Australia model. Impartial by day with the likes of Brazier and opinion during the evening.
Sky News Australia during the day is perfectly watchable. I've seen their output and there's nothing there to get worried about at least during daytime hours, but the evening programming isn't.
Except Sky News Australia is not under the auspices of Ofcom.
The hysterics over GB News shows just how far left the Overton Window has moved in polite society. Andrew Neil is hardly a fringe figure, being a seasoned journalist and, until recently, a high profile face on the BBC. Even if he wanted to make a UK Fox News, and I doubt that he does (and he's denied it), he couldn't because Ofcom wouldn't allow it.

You say that, but talkRADIO comes pretty close under Ofcom rule. Obviously they have to stop short of telling you who to vote for and get guests on who balance things out a bit, but presenters are free to go on rants and give their view of the world.

As does LBC.
Yes, talkRADIO is the example I used as there seems to be less balance between the different presenters so more like Fox in that regard.
