Found myself in a complete YouTube wormhole tonight and resisted sharing multiple clips but I think one worthy of discussion is the trailers for the 1996 revamp, which seem to suggest the revamp going in the complete opposite direction to what it did.

I don’t quite understand what those trailers are trying to promote the show as; something scary perhaps, too risky or embarrassing to people who watch it? What’s with the egg with sunglasses on - was that supposed to symbolise something?
It does scream channel 4 in the 90s, but this one is a little left field for me.
It turns out they wouldn’t and neither did a lot of others.

Not that you would know from these clips, but I think the egg with sunglasses was supposed to resemble one of the Gallagher brothers cos the pic was on advertising billboards at the time....the caption was either ‘Morning Glory’ or ‘Whats The Story?...Morning Glory’, can’t remember which.
