BBC News Channel Presenter line ups

Just thought I'd try and list what the News Channel line ups have been throughout the years. Wasn't sure whether to make it a new topic or not as it could lead to some interesting discussions about past and current presenters from the last 20+ years. Could also include World presenters and line ups if anyone is interested. I'm only going to list official presenters, so no holiday or relief presenters. (The latest line up will be from before the coronavirus changes took place).

Nov 2018-: 9 Annita, 10 Victoria, 11 Joanna, 2 Simon, 5 Huw, 6:30 Clive
Jul 2017-Nov 2018: 9 Victoria, 11 Joanna, 2 Simon, 5 Huw, 6:30 Clive
Mar 2015-Jul 2017: 9 Victoria, 11 Joanna, 2 Simon/Jane, 5 Huw, 6:30 Clive
Sep 2014-Mar 2015: 8:30 Simon/Annita, 11 Joanna, 2 Ben/Jane, 5 Huw, 6:30 Gavin, 9 Clive

I'm not sure about the last one as memory is a bit foggy on who did the afternoons with Jon after Louise moved to Breakfast in Salford. Also would be really interested in the line ups before 2007 if anyone has any knowledge!

There was a few months between Carrie leaving and Annita permanently moving to mornings with the 08:30 slot initially filled by a combination of Annita, Martine, Sophie Long, Rachel Schofield and Rebecca Jones with no real pattern.

The full schedule at the time of the NBH launch was as follows

08:30 Simon and Sophie L, 11:00 Ben and Joanna, 14:00 Matthew and Emily, 17:00 Huw, 18:30 Annita, 21:00 Clive
Tues-Thurs
08:30 Simon and Carrie, 11:00 Ben and Joanna, 14:00 Matthew and Jane, 17:00 Huw, 18:30 Annita, 21:00 Clive (Martine alternate Thursday)
Friday
08:30 Simon/vacant (alternate) and Carrie, 11:00 Chris E and Sophie L, 14:00 Matthew and Jane, 17:00 Gavin E, 18:30 Julian, 21:00 Martine
Saturday
10:00 Maxine, 16:00 Chris E, 20:00 Martine/vacant (alternate)
Sunday
09:00 Nicholas, 13:00 Maxine, 16:00 Chris E, 20:00 Martine

I’m mainly focusing on main weekday schedules.

After doing some minor research, This seemed to be the schedule at the Dec 2003 relaunch:

9-1 Philip Hayton & Anna Jones
1-4 Chris Eakin & Maxine Mawhinney
4-7 Matthew Amroliwala & Jane Hill
7-11 Jon Sopel & Louise Minchin
11-1 Peter Dobbie

This was then slightly altered some point in 2005 to:
9-1 Philip & Anna
1-4 Maxine & Matthew
4-7 Jon & Louise
7-11 Chris & Jane
11-1 Peter

Anna then left and was replaced by Kate Silverton. This then led to the infamous departure of Philip who was replaced by Simon McCoy. Another reshuffle in 2006 led to the following with Huw Edwards, Ben Brown and Emily Maitlis joining the channel:

8:30-11 Simon & Kate
11-2 Matthew & Jane
2-5 Jon & Louise
5-6 Huw
6:30-10 Ben & Emily
10:30-1 Chris E

Emily was replaced by Joanna G at some point and Kate by Carrie G but then the schedule remained wholly unchanged until 2013.
