Hi - Can anyone help to identify a single drama that I'm sure was broadcast in the early 80s? I had a feeling it was in the early days of C4, but can't find any trace of it linked to the channel, so maybe BBC Two
It was very stylised, set in an isolated and fairly grand house that might have been by a lake. I seem to recall it was an allegory for the end of empire - I think the house burned down at the end. The only other thing I can really remember was the repeated use of the rhyme "She offered her honour, he honoured her offer, and all night he was on her and off her" by some creepy old gents.
Thanks!
