Who Wants to be a Millionaire?

Quite refreshing now to have a quiz show not padded out with small talk - at the pace Clarkson goes through it they could probably get two £1m winners in a show.

Wouldn’t read too much into that in itself, as they extended out the final episode of the last series too. Of course with the other hints we’ve been getting we can only assume something of significance will happen in that show.

That happened a lot in the original run IIRC. The last episode was often 10-15 minutes longer to finish a contestants run rather than hae them carried over to the next series.

Bit of an aside but I think it’s the first time I’ve seen someone in a wheelchair get into the ‘hot seat’? It may have happened in the Clarkson era, but I’m sure it never happened in the Tarrant era.

Yep. There was a “making of millionaire” thing on that dvd a long time ago, which showed at least one person in a wheelchair practising the game in rehearsals, but never got into the hot seat in the actual episode. They did show how they had structured things if they did need to do so, and clearly did accommodate everyone for the Tarrant episodes tho.
