Sorry I thought you meant Fast Finger First eliminated poorer, therefore stupid people.

And even then I’m not sure I agree. People enjoy the drama of the game, not continual sob stories, and I would argue people who are desperate for the money are much more likely to walk away sooner.

I thought it was now back to a traditional millionaire format, having got rid of the weird shuffle version?

It's basically still that version except they've ditched the shuffle element.

They're still using that ridiculous music as well which is absolutely god awful.

It's even worse, they've got new graphics....

Which begs the question, how do Valleycrest get away with it, if the basic principle of the show isn't to be messed with?

Because the show is 20 years old and they've got the money to pay for it.

Most formats control most elements quite strictly early on but loosen up as time goes on and they need the recommission more than the channel need the show.

I’d forgotten how terrible the music is and those graphics are horrible.

And the US did their clock version so well - great graphics and beautifully modified music by Keith and Matthew Strachan.

Good grief. The graphics & music from the U.S. version is horrific. I don't like them at all. It makes me appreciate the current graphics from the UK version a lot more now than ever.

Jeremy has been on fire tonight with Ask The Host which is great to see. £16k has now been set as a safety net for 3 times now in this episode alone. Is that a first for this show? All 2nd safety nets being set on the same amount during the same single episode.

Seems like ITV are accepting applications for contestants again until the end of June, so roughly a 6 month period until the next lot of episodes.

I do wish they would clean up the bit where the contestant has won whatever and is walking off the set to the fanfare music, in the Tarrant series it was perfectly executed as they had a nice shot of the contestant walking out of the 'arena' into the tunnel whilst also showing Tarrant walking back to the back of the studio

Now the contestant seems a bit confused at this point, some seem to want a 5 hour chat with Jeremy before he basically shoves them in the right direction to leave and their friends/family are waiting for them in the tunnel, but sometimes they cut back to Jeremy before they show that bit!

They are still recording episodes, including today at 1.00pm - is today's recording for transmission tonight? I doubt it, but they have been recording a lot of episodes since January 3rd I believe.

An old work colleague was at a recording either yesterday or Friday, he was told that the episode was getting transmitted in March some time

If this guy doesn't finish by the end of the episode will he finish his game in the next series?

On last night's episode at one of the breaks, they were inviting applicant's for the next series. So ITV must see some traction in it.

Jeremy just announced the show will be returning in March.

I think the ask the audience fail might be tied with the budget speech one?

First time tonight I've ever seen a contestant use all four linelines on a single question (though I accept there used to only be three to use, so this is maybe not as big a milestone as I'm making it sound).
