Set Concepts

So this weekend while browsing all things TV related as I do, I found a 3D mockup artist (Ben Morson) he does work for Sarah Milton who designs a lot of ITV sets. While I found some 3D models of some ITV sets which made it on screen, he also posted some concepts which never made it. I found them extremely interesting and I thought you would all appreciate them as well. If anyone has any official unused concepts for sets which they have found I would love to see them.

Looks like they chose the worst (not that it is horrible) out of the pitches for Loose Women. GMB one would have been interesting to see, as it looks like it doesn't have a perimeter wall as such, just floating elements.

I quite like the second image of loose women set designs, however the design that they went with seems to use the least amount of space and could have been the design that took the least amount of striking. As for the GMB design, I presume this would have been based on it being located in studio 3 judging the size of the design. Interesting design but I'm glad for the design that we ended up with.

I don't think the other Loose Women designs would have fit in the space. They're clearly inspired by The View.

I agree, the second one is my personal favourite however it feels very This Morning in terns of the colours. That GMB set, meanwhile, is awful.

It's a colour-lit cyc hung on a rail, instead of straight to bare studio walls (like the old One Show was)

Can't imagine that would look good for GMB. Breakfast shows in the past have had the pitch black cyc, plus the rig above...don't thinka lit cyc would work at all for GMB.

I think even I could design a better set than that!

Please don't.

I'd like to see him try, though...
