And he just (18:54 approximately) made a cheeky little apperance on the BBC, giving a little wave as he walked behind Fiona Bruce and Laura Kuenssberg. Ohhh, Peston!
Robert Peston seems to love the sound of his own voice.

He also walked behind Huw Edwards and Laura Kuenssberg twice, apparently filming himself on his phone, earlier this afternoon.

Adam Fleming has been doing a couple of these too, but using a cameraman and microphone. He's answering questions as they go, and this one lasted 55 minutes. Quite a shift for an online-only "extra".

he's been doing a lot of them lately - many of which have been shaky inaudible versions of press conferences which the news channels are already covering.

Will be interesting to see whether the NC still takes Outside Source at 9pm, or whether somehow the resources are cobbled together for the NC to produce another hour itself. The assembly of a new cabinet is very important here, but the identity of the next Environment secretary is hardly going to be of great importance to World viewers.
