Well, many here have been saying it's about time he moved on. There's still a day to make it 3 in one month...

Personally, I think that EastEnders and Casualty have been far better than they are now. Whether that's up to him or not I don't know, but he is (was) the boss.

I wouldn't think this year is likely.

2005 would seem to be a good bet, though.

Thank heavens! Having worked on Brookside he never really was BBC material and hopefully they'll replace him with someone who might steer Holby and Casualty back to their roots, rather than the soaps they have degenerated into.

Now if he could kindly return to Mersey TV - ideally in a swap which would see Grange Hill return to Elstree...
