If I think of the 2018 series literally all I remember without Google is Danny Tetley and Scarlett Lee, Danny probably sticks out for the huge technical glitch during one of the live show broadcasts!

The biggest downfall was the series when they scrapped Dermot for Caroline and Olly (Although Caroline slots right in to Love Island!) and just to rub further salt in the wound Nick Grimshaw?! Rita Ora was OK but they weren't a patch on Louis and Mel B! Don't even mention the horrific 'dramatic' tweaks to the judges houses that series!

I’ve not really followed the show as a viewer, though I’ve always take a broad interest in it, particularly with it being a prominent show as it is (was).

I notice that there’s no real agreement on when the show went from good to bad, which suggests to me quite a gradual decline. Seems like the constant changes have put people off, as well as the show just running its course. It’s said often on here, but a rest for the show really does seem a sensible route for ITV to take, if they want it to be able to exist in the near future.

How apt, as that Saturday's Strictly Come Dancing does not overlap, running from 6.40pm to 8.35pm on BBC One.

This promo seems to feature a new arrangement of the XF theme. I thought they were going to ditch it not rearrange it.

I’m so glad they haven’t, all though I don’t want to get my hopes up. Also, I’m thrilled to see that ‘the’ and ‘factor’ have returned to the logo.

Good luck finding anything at stv.com/xfactor (as per the end of the video clip). Should be stv.tv/xfactor (which I do realise is a stupid enough TLD)

Turns out David Lowe has rearranged the theme tune for this series.

They played Lizzo over the credits. I predict several Lizzo covers once we reach the live shows.
