just after hannah hauxwell on sky travel tonight at 8.58ish in place of adverts was "world live" - where live views of world cities were brought up accompanied by music. also listed were the weather conditions and local time - with "earth tv" on the graphics.

it was very fab. are sky travel dipping into another channel's output? or is this an original production. and how long has this been going on. i certainly haven't seen it before.

it'd be perfect for a news channel's toth sequence. genius.

One of the TV News agencies, APTN or REUTERS, carries World TV up-to-the-hour sometimes - maybe they are getting it via this means?

I loved this.

I'd just finished watching Hannah (I get really into it, even wear a tea towel on my head) and this came up at the end.

It was really nice as a filler, only on for a couple of minutes, but we went live all over the place, Istanbul, Helsinki, Washington, Vienna all in the space of a couple of minutes. Music was fab too.

Nice little feature that.

I've only started watching the channel lately but noticed it a few times after Airline. It's very well done; I like how the camera moves slightly in each shot giving it a more professional touch - a long way away from BBC London's traffic cams!

i know hannah fans will be reading this - so ill stick it here.

having just washed my pink bobbly cardy down at the stream, and fed the cows in t'other field, i sat down wrapped in a tanktop and pullover to read my back catalogue of dalesman lincolnshire life and yorkshire life magazines by candle light.

and i spotted in a copy of the dalesman - oh i do love that magazine, you know - that old man is fab that talks about all that stuff about yorkshire and ... yes, anyway ....

HANNAH IS STILL ALIVE .... LIVING NEAR BARNARD CASTLE

i think the next series should be hannah travelling to the backstreets of amsterdam, and the christmas special will be in ibiza ... and there is no question as to who will provide the voiceover ...

Glad to know I'm not the only one who's been entertained by Hannah's travels. I especially love it when she gets a bit pis*ed off - the underground lake in Italy was a classic...

"Are you enjoying yourself Hannah?"
"No."

The sad git I am, I did a bit of research on Hannah Hauxwell after being enthralled by one of her programmes the other week, and also found various different people saying she was still alive and well. But I couldn't find any dates to vouch the accuracy of this information. It would be great to see her again. After all, this isn't a road for dawdling. Good day.

I'm actually quite tempted to stick a letter in the post addressed to "Hannah Hauxwell, somwehere near Barnard Castle" just to see if she fancies going out for a cup of tea sometime. I'd even treat her to a scone if she's lucky. Can you imagine how exciting that would be? I'd probably wee myself with excitement though!
