Channel 9 in Australia are bringing back the original WWTBAM format. They've been airing the 'hotseat' format in the evening slot for years but it'll be nice to see the original format return. Think the gimmicks of hotseat distract from the original format.

Interesting, that background is of a modern era Millionaire set, despite him sitting in the regular hot seat set. I wonder if they’re get a new one.

I think the Australian Millionaire set has always been pretty much a compact pack up/wheel out job for studio space purposes since the start of the original. The show has moved locations during Covid etc so easy to put together. This set has barely changed. Looks like the prime time return will just be the same set as the previous original and hotseat with different lighting similar to the current US/UK>

I wouldn't be surprised if it's still being filmed in Queensland after being moved temporarily there due to the Covid restrictions in Victoria hence the slightly different set.
