Also, I won't just be uploading title sequences, I have plans for other videos in the future too.

Just make sure you get permission to post other peoples work before you go uploading it Thumbs up

Definitely, I gave credit for where I got the title sequences but if I was ever gonna do anything with full episodes which are much rarer and take more effort from channels then I would be sure to ask permission Smile

I didn't know that! It was quite the story at the time - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/2016264.stm

Pretty much identical to what U2 infamously did in 2014 when everyone with Apple iTunes suddenly got a copy of their new album downloaded, whether they wanted it or not.

Going by that article, it wasn't using the main partition on the hard drive, so at least it wasn't taking up the (by today's standards) limited recording space.

Didn’t the early Sky Anytime service use a similar arrangement on Sky+ boxes whereby programmes would automatically be recorded to a partition on the hard drive? IIRC quite a few people were unhappy that the space couldn’t be used for their own chosen recordings, although I don’t remember it making it to a news story.

Yes, IIRC the hard drive was bigger than advertised for that purpose.

I believe the hard drive was double the stated storage capacity.

Clarkson has been doing some press for the new series, and has indeed suggested the selection process was 'tweaked' from the first series he did to pick some more intelligent contestants Very Happy

The US show seems to be doing quite well over 6 million which seems pretty decent by today’s standards in that market.

It started off at a similar level but episodes 2 and 3 lost a lot of viewers, they changed the day and it’s back up the last two weeks. It won the night so I’d assume they’d be happy with that.

Clarkson’s talks about an emotional first that happens, not just by UK terms but anywhere in the world. Could it be getting a £1 million question wrong although that has happened elsewhere, not sure Clarkson would get emotional over it? The other thing I can think of is the host giving the contestant the answer for the £1 million question.

It moved from a rather questionable 10pm slot to a much better suited 8pm slot and picked up 2m viewers.

There was a point of interest in the recording I went to see, obviously I won't spoil it until after the show has aired but sounds like overall it is going to be a very good series!

Wouldn’t the National Lottery’s People Quiz have been before that?

Edit: no it wasn’t.
