I'm looking forward to this. As has been said a nice update to the set, presuming that is the actual one.
I liked the fact that the original theme seemed to be building, but then the remix came in as the announcer spoke.

I do hope that they use the original theme tune because the remix by Nick Magnus is absolutely awful.
The original 15 questions format is back with the original three lifelines.
I also hope that logo used before the mid-2007 refresh/rebrand is used.

I note that Matthew Strachan (one half of the original composing duo) has uploaded some suggested cues for an 'Ask the Host' lifeline to his SoundCloud page recently (along with a load of other stuff, some of it with 'editorial' comments). Of course, this may be nothing at all to do with the UK reboot, not least as Strachan has concentrated on the US version since ITV turned to Nick Magnus for the 2007 relaunch.

A cartoon in a fairly recent issue of Private Eye magazine suggested a new 4th lifeline: Punch the Producer. Laughing

Yes the Nick Magnus theme is god awful. The seriousness of the music is totally lost with that revamp version, get back to basics.

Love the new set design, but the height has dropped a little which diminishes the colosseum effect.

I thought Ramon Covalo did the 2007 remixes? Or am I mistaken? Confused

Pretty certain it was Roman Covalo as well...

I think Roman Covalo was the composer and Nick Magnus was the producer (at least for the revised theme). Nick also did the club mix of the original theme (remember that?!)

If that's the theme they're using. Thumbs up

It seemed to be a bit mixed up, as Jeremy walked onto set it was the classic theme, but as the voice over kicked in it reverted to the remix.
Would prefer the former .

The question beds were composed by Ramon Covalo. Nick Magnus did all the remixes of the original Strachans' cues (theme, hot seat crossover, Q5 and Q10 win).
