Brookside did shoot in 16:9. The omnibus was shown in 14:9, even though the weekday eps were 4:3.

Hazel Wright, the BBC Worldwide Executive Manager, Television, made a very germane comment regarding television production at the MIPCOM 2003 in Cannes.
