UK TV

Ive just found this site when i found a link on Commercial Breaks and Beats Site... Unfortunately i cannot find the information i want from there so ill cross my fingers and hope that someone can answer this question i have:

An advertising Campaign is on at the moment for Sky Customers for the UK TV Chnnels such as UK Gold, UK History and UK Drama Etc where they advertise what programmes are coming either that night or during the commencing week... (i caught the advert on UK Gold) and there is a song in the background that was in the charts possibly a uear or two ago (it is fair recent) and it had a man singing on it.. it is sort of Rock Influenced and to be quite honest.. it is really annoyign me because i really like the song, but i dont know who the artist is or the name of the song...

Im hoping that anyone here has either seen this advert and knows what the song is, or will see it and can tell me (it was only on at 4:30pm today and it will be repeated frequently)

Someone put me out of my misery Pleeeeeeeease?????

UKTV gave been using a song by Suede fior their trails since they relaunched

Quick tip if you hear a tune on TV or radio (or in a pub or public place) dial 2580 on your phone and hold it up to the music. It will text you back with the title and artist

Then you can text back and get a mono or poly ringtone of it!

Sorry, but having a music channel in the background most of the day you know these ads word for word...........

Is that Shazam that do the ringtones?

I know that they save all your choices on their website so you can log on and purchase the albums that the songs come from.

Nope... i can say with all certainty that its not Suede... i have some of their stuff and the voice is definately not of Brett Anderson. I did seem to want to compare it to Idlewild or similar... if that is of any help...

LOL darn it if the next time the trailer came on they used a different song in the background... Aaargh! is there anywhere where you can find out this info? do the TV Channels not have anywhere on ther sites where the tell you what music they use on their advertising campaigns?! i just went on the UKTV site and found nothing. The Commercial Breaks and Beats site is usually quite good for this sort of thing, but ive not seen any really recent stuff on there, and i cannot post in the message forum.

When i described it was "Rocky" that is of course by todays standards... lol where bands like Coldplay are described as Rock... I personally say Chart or Pop music, Alice Cooper and Ozzy are rock and darn always will be!!!!

That idea you said bout using your phone?? its a brilliant idea! if i ever manage to see the ad again ill try that, in the meantime, unless someone can help me, i shall sit here going silently mad!

Just type some lyrics in quotation marks into Google. Half a line can even be enough.
