Want to talk idents and oneness over a pint? Some of us have been here for... well longer than perhaps we'd care to admit, and for a lively forum I've met a few of you, but not many, in person. So I wondered if a geeky meet-up might be in order, what do you think?

No idea if anyone would be remotely interested, but if you are let me know your thoughts and fill out the questionnaire linked above and comment here. If enough of us are keen we can look to putting on a little something. I'm going to restrict this to over 18's right from the start, so only sensible adults who can get their own transport, bar tabs etc need apply.

I'm thinking just a centrally located (depending on where we all are) pub with some good food, flowing drinks and good company, but we could book to be in an audience, go on a studio tour, do a pub quiz or anything else really.

Over to you!

Not a bad idea, although the last internet community based group in-person meet-up I attended, ended up with only 6 people showing up (myself included) but the host couldn't make it due to a sudden last minute change of plans! It was still a decent night though.

The under-18s could go on a picnic in a misty Forest.

Fab idea. But I'd prefer to be able to get there and back in the same day, even if I start early and get back very late, because of the pesky mutt! Laughing

That's the thing, are we all going to agree on a suitable location? Regardless of where this meet-up takes place, there'll be a few who won't be able to go for one reason or another. Manchester would be good for me obviously, and anyone else within Lancashire, Cheshire, or Merseyside, but perhaps not so much for those dahhhnn sahhhff, or north of the border.

Why not a group visit to one of The Crystal Maze locations later in the year. It would mean shelling out for a ticket but that should just mean people would be less likely to pull out who say they are going to go. You could always have a drinks after for those who don't fancy the experience. Couldn't think of more of a more TV forumy day out.

Or across the Irish Sea.

Do remember to get a group video, preferably of everyone shuffling around gormlessly.

Enough of us show up, we could send it to the BBC as a potential new BBC One "ident" ... !

Shall we all meet at the location of the TVS archive?

Only been here for a year on and off and am only starting to get into the discussion/mocks scene. I live near Manchester and this sounds good.

Meetup.com is good to organise and start up. Link is below:
