About a year ago I suggested having Sky 1 as home of general entertainment, drama and comedy. Move all the male orientated shows to the new Sky Bravo (replacing Sky 2) and female orientated shows to Sky Living, with Sky Atlantic sticking to the niche high end drama.

Sky 1
Modern Family, The Simpsons, The Muppets, Futurama, The Big Spell, Hooten & the Lady, Wild Things, Bring the Noise, Yonderland, Trollied, You Me and the Apocalypse, Zoo, After Hours, Moone Boy, Limitless, Zoo, Duck Quacks Don't Echo, The Last Ship, The Kumars, Delicious etc.

Sky Living
Grey's Anatomy, Madam Secretary, Scandal, Mount Pleasant, Nashville, The Catch, Chicago Fire, Elementary, Unforgettable, Blindspot, Bones, America's Next Top Model, Britain's Next Top Model (if they could get it back from Lifetime), Four Weddings, Supergirl, Stella etc.

Sky Bravo
A League of Their Own, Rovers, Arrow, The Flash, Hawaii Five-0 (originally acquired for Bravo), Last Man Standing, The Moaning of Life, An Idiot Abroad, TNA Wrestling, Video Game Nation, Road Wars, Brit Cops, Dog The Bounty Hunter, Ross Kemp, Spartacus, Spy etc.

Sky Atlantic
Game of Thrones, The Tunnel, Penny Dreadful, Fortitude, The Leftovers, Vinyl, Veep, Banshee, Ray Donovan, Billions, The Affair, Westworld, Twin Peaks and all the other HBO and Showtime stuff.

There is a real lack of clear identity and focus for the channels, Sky have ruined Living since they acquired it.

The Blacklist is moving from Sky Living to Sky1.

About time they've done this - I've always felt that it was Sky1 material to me.

Honestly, they should either try to add more original content to Sky Living or just close it. I haven't seen a trailer for Sky Living since early December!

The last time I've seen a trailer on Sky Living was for Elementary, and that was for the beginning of the year.
I'd rather see all three channels get restructured to have a clear focus on their audiences - it's all spread too thinly and is a nightmare for advertisers to target the audience.

Budget being squeezed due to the spending on the Premier League?

Their overspending on the Premier League is a leading cause - some channels have been constrained as a result.

Yeah. Ever since that 2011 refresh, programming on Sky 1 and Living haven't exactly been great and as for Sky Atlantic, it is doing ok...

An interesting video I came across on vimeo, showcasing the work completed by SouthernGFX for Sky. It seems Sky creative create the flat 2d logos in-house and outsource the creation of the 3D logos to SouthernGFX. At one point in the video a 3D logo can be seen being created using the flat logo as a guide. Probably the best thing that has happended to Sky's presentation since the demise of its branding in 2011. Sky Sports was the first channel to use the new logos in its presentation and since then it has been expanded to other channels as part of the rebrand of Sky1, Sky Living, Sky Atlantic, Sky Arts and Sky Cinema. I never liked the use of the 2d logos from the 2011 rebrand. When using a 3D logo the logo can be really integrated into the idents (Sky Atlantic, Sky Cinema) rather than being just being slapped on top of footage.

Curious that a Sky 3D ident was in here

Is that also the reason Challenge has gone downhill too?

In what way? Logo? For some strange reason alot of people hated the last branding.

Programming. Not buying as many vintage gameshows as they were and just relying on endless Pointless and The Chase- is a budget cut responsible?
