Sky's Branding

Spotted a new Sky1 logo promoting Apocalypse Slough.
Looks to be in the style of the new Sky Movies logo. Seems strange for Sky Sports and Sky Arts to use one set of logos and Sky Movies and Sky1 to use another. Sky logos are becoming increasingly inconsistent, the 1 in the new logo is very poorly aligned.

Interesting to see Movies and One using the same logo style. The Sports and Arts logos look similar, but they are not identical.

The regular idents on Sky Arts do not have an outer border, the personality idents do use a border but is slightly different to the main logo pictured in MDTA's post it has more pointed corners rather than a constant curve. This is because it is the standard logo converted into 3D for a twist animation reveal as used on stings, trailer endboards as used by all Sky Entertainment channels.

Here is the Sky Atlantic and Sky Living rotating logo *note the pointed corners and that the gradient affects the colour of the white letters compared to the standard versions.

I quite like the refresh if I'm honest, though I'm a fan of more 3D style graphics than flat.

Sky Movies has introduced its new logo on its 'Find & Watch TV Site' the main Sky Movies website is still using the old logo.

Sky's 'Find and Watch TV Site' has high resolution images of most of the Sky channel logos.

Wow, look at that bevel on the second Sky Living logo. Brushed metal, anyone?
