Is Shop closing today? They seem to be reading out everybody's emails in the closing down sale programme this afternoon, and are in sombre style suits and seem to be very lighthearted and the like. I thought they were closing at the end of next month.

I looked at the Sky TV Guide the other day, and the Closing Down sale seems to be going on forever. There's no sign of an end to Shop! on the EPG, so I don't really know!

They've got a couple of happy chappies on at the moment and mentioned 'we don't know exactly when we're closing down'.

I've been watching them all afternoon, maybe QVC or Ideal will buy them up or something. I had a quick look at the shop website and it says it will close 'early april'.

Is it me, or is everthing to do with Granada a complete failure at the moment. If I had to pick any one of the shopping channels that were heading for closure, Shop would not have been one of them.....but then, what do I know.

The other day they said they'd close when they ran out of stock. The they tried to sell THE ULTIMATE HEN NIGHT KIT. goodness.

It's difficult to understand how Granada and Littlewoods can trun around and say 'We are not doing as well as we had anticipated with Shop!'

What the hell did they expect from a shopping channel that was gaining only meagre audiences and subsequently poor sales.

TV shopping will never catch on in the same way as High Street shopping.

Who needs Shop! when you've got bid-up.tv? Now THAT'S a proper shopping channel!

I've heard from friends at Shop! that they will cease live transmission this Thursday - it will then go to pre-records.
