If you prefer the real thing you can get it on satellite. Tune in the RTÉ channels, you won't be able to watch the programmes of course (unless you're in the RoI) but you will be able to get teletext.

Staff used to be able to access Ceefax via the BBC Intranet but as far as I know it's not supported anymore.

... and it didn't work very well, either. Slow updates, couldn't click page numbers.

888 works for subtitled programmes too so you can follow what is said on Six-One.
Since TG4 went clear up here for a month in March 2004 and then was encrypted again, I haven't been able to get 'Teacs TG4'.
