Region settings withdrawn

I was just about to say the same thing, Stuart. Hymagumba, if you had paid Asa to run this site then you could quite rightly demand that things be fixed. However, this is a free service which is run by volunteers. We do our best to make things enjoyable around here, and believe me, Asa does a lot of hard work on this site. I think a little gratitude wouldn't go amiss. Asa has sustained this site as a hobby in his own time for 5 and a half years - that's quite an achievement in itself given that most hobby websites/forums pack up and disappear after a couple of years.

Jeez! Metropol isn't that bad!. Personally i'd like more TVFers to post more regularly over there. Apparently it's frowned upon.
Maybe you would be so kind as to make a couple more posts over there to clarify exactly why metropol is a hellhole and should not be integrated with TVF, (for goodness sake all Mp24/7members are tvfers). Oh and we can discuss this cat business further. A regional hic-up thingymabobby thread on tvf really isn't the place.

I would post over there but to be honest I find some of the members intimidating. I hate the way people are belittled and humiliated - that's why I don't venture over there. I'm sure I'm not alone, either.

Well you're not exactly alone either as some comments I've posted about area codes and sticky threads has got the predators' knives at the ready.

I originally appeared on Metropol some time ago when I needed some computer help, well I can't say it's neccessarily a hellhole but it's just some of the members that make it like the Peckham of TV Forum.

But not all of the people there are horrid. Some of them are quite friendly and I would like to thank those who have been friendly to me and helped solved my little problems.

At the moment I'm not posting at all over there because of the negative comments but if I see a cosy thread set up by the much friendlier people then perhaps I'll drop in.

Lol.. love the Peckham of tvf bit. It is a bit lawless over there, that's what gives it it's charm. Goodness just imagine what it would be like over here if Hyma and Mr Nick didn't have mp24/7 to let off steam.
You can't be of nervous disposition to enjoy the delights of the Lounge but a sense of humour and thick skin helps.
It's got alot better since Jamez left ( YES! I did really say that).- no more Dusty Bones anymore you see, i didn't like Dusty Bones.

In my words I wouldn't want to see the return of the 'too busy' message. In your words it looks as if we might as well not have them but these regional settings disappearing is making us look more generic than Digital Spy.

I know it's not a major problem but I would still refer to it like a bug or even a virus because it feels like this 'disease' is spreading slowly. It is however nice of you to check the settings but the other users look funny with just their names displayed and nothing else (excluding their signatures).

Rob I love this place - it's my favourite place on the internet. If I just wanted to talk about TV pres I'd go to DS and just troll around insulting folk on MP.

If nothing else the quality of this website makes you forget it's a hobby site, compared to a lot of websites with a message board cobbled on it's just amazing. Even somewhere like MozillaZine which has a massive phpbb site, it doesn't seem as good as here because it's so plain.

So don't think that by me being mouthy I'm not grateful for this place, I've not got a bizzare vendetta against it like Jamez and I'm not so sure on why Nick is so mean to Asa at times - each to their own.

mind what with all the fun I've been having this week - stickygait, going out of my way to annoy folk in the mocks forum - I've probably been asking for a kicking - it;s just annoying because the straw that broke my back was from HIM.

I'm going back to bed now. I'm not well I'll have you all know.
