Apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere but whilst in Tescos today, I saw a granny with a copy of the Radio Times on the next till and I see that they have changed their logo. So soon, I hear you cry. They normally stick it out for a while but this one has only lasted just over 3 years.

I don't really know my fonts but its like the existing one but a lot more chunky looking. I don't know if they made any changes inside the magazine as I was on a quick visit to Tescos but there you go.

This the one?

Not really sure which one I prefer... It does seem a little premature to change it already , though.

that logo looks a like christmas all over again, surely it can't be the logo.

I mentioned it a while ago and nobody cared.

Wasn't the last 'logo' in Gill Sans to match the 'everything to do with the BBC must use Gill Sans' era, which we've been moving out of within the last 12 months or so?

I don't mind this new logo, it does look a bit squashed but it's no worse than the last one.

Please tell me that you didn't think that the snowflakes were part of the logo?

They've changed the font to Haettenschweiler, or whatever it's called.

Nice and tall, nice and thin, gets FAR more information per column inch.

Don't know whether it's been mentioned somewhere, but the Radio Times site has also been givena makeover. Not sure how long ago it was, but i look a lot better, fresher and easier to understand now.

Oh I know Mr Harvey -- isn't it a right trouble just to see what's to be on BBC2 on any given day.

All that
squashed-
ness to
make way
for lots of
Z-list
Welsh
celebrities'
program-
mes/egos

Isn't it about time the westcountry was merged with the south-west for the RT listings, and all this madness would end?

Mind you, I know you'd then be lost without your 8-foot wide reference of foreign radio dullness.

Actually it was. It was Gill Sans Extra Bold (or Humanist 521 Extra Bold if you prefer). Actually it may have been Ultra Bold... but anyway, the Green boy was correct.
