Next Saturday there is no Premiership, but there is Match of the Day. Has BBC's victory to show the football come into force for 2004?

It only applies for the 2004 / 2005 season, ITV has the rights until the end of the 2003 - 2004 season which is this one.

So the BBC will start showing MOTD with Premiership highlights at the start of the 2004 - 2005 season, which will be the middle of August.

Next Saturday is the FA Cup so that's why Match of the Day is being shown.

It's the FA Cup, so there is no Premiership action, and BBC have rights to show FA Cup live matches and highlights.

Did anyone else notice that The Premiership has reverted to being an ISN/Central Production and not ISN/Carlton?

Yes, i did. The Carlton name has now officially disappeared from ITV1. I didn't think they'd be that pedantic.
