I am surprised that this does not have a thread about this already.

It will be on Channel No. 160 when launched on the platform. A list of the documentaries is included in the link above.

This channel is simply a great addition to Freesat viewers all around the UK and Ireland. Cannot believe this was a subscription channel on Sky only four years ago. Time has passed on so fast it doesn't seem like a long time tbf.

Let's hope they up the bitrate or improve the encoding. The picture quality is pretty dreadful, and they don't seem to be able to cope with 4:3 content properly.

Sitting in a b&b room in Cape Cod MA right now, the US version doesn't look much better !

I've occasionally come across this channel when perusing the documentary genre on Sky.

It sometimes has decent programmes, but is sometimes shown in 'stretchy-vision' on a SkyHD box, so needs manual intervention to change it to 4:3 on an HD TV.

It's certainly a good addition to Freeview, as I am about to spend 2 weeks house/dog-sitting in deepest Cheshire, where my Sister only has Freeview. Shocked
