The Paul O'Grady Show

Just the adder (unless you count any non-native breeds that have escaped!). AIUI The venom is relatively weak, so it's unlikely to kill you-- unless you have a weak heart. Otherwise an adder bite would just make you feel very ill, but there is medication available to counter it.

Adders are very timid and will usually slither off if they sense humans approaching, unless they are dozing (which is when I've seen them in the wild). So for one to bite you, you'd have to accidentally stand on/by one, or deliberately poke it-- I'm sure Paul did the former!

Is it me or is this "I hate christmas" nonsense getting silly. And the "its beging to look...." music playing every so often to some staged over the top reaction.

It's traditional family viewing... is it not meant to be somewhat over the top and staged?

It is getting silly I agree - but then again it is Christmas. They had a panto today with a delayed recording of Terry Wogan playing the whale (or shark, i don't know what it was).

It's this P Team nonsense I can't stand, with 10 mins left of todays show (after the panto finished) he said he'd be chatting with a few of the celebrity stars after the break... instead about half the time was taken up by the P Team trial and only 2mins chatting to guests.

Well another series is over and Paul looks to be back on Monday 30th March 2009 I think.

We have got Wogan's Perfect Recall starting in January, I wonder if it still be a good 5pm filler?

Wonder if Paul will change much for the Spring series? 2009 is the last year of his current contract, I hope he will renew it.

They did say on the C4 website (in the press pack I think) that he'd be back in February.

I heard that 60 new episodes of Wogan's Perfect Recall were made and to be shown before Paul's new series begins in the spring, so this would mean the new series of the paul o'grady show would start in March?

I have just seen on the Lost in TV website that Paul will be back with a new series from Monday 23rd February.

I wonder why the show is back earlier than usual, its usually late March until mid June he runs in the Spring.

Does this mean it will be a much longer series?

It's just back earlier as Richard and Judy aren't hogging the slot, and it allows them to break up Come Dine with Me / Perfect Recall a bit too.

Ideally though they'd break up Paul O'Grady too though and run this years series in three blocks of eight weeks rather than two blocks of twelve, but I doubt they will.
