How did networks get this N. Korean newscast anyway? I'd like to know how that got sneaked across their borders...
BTW... I really wish I can watch one of their bulletins just for a laugh at the presenter.
The news was from South Korea. Why should you laugh? If it's the way South Korea reports like this, so what?

Yes, I aggree. It's not like South Korea have the sort of money we do to afford decent sets and graphics. They're making the best out of what they have, and if it's pretty basic- so what?

Well as Edward says, it's North Korea.

And I believe it is South Korea until proven wrong. You said that North Korea has just broadcast the news, but the video of the newsreader is her breaking the news about the explosion, which is a few days old, from South Korea, which is why the news channels showed it. They wouldn't have any access to North Korean TV, and anyway, the N Korean Government controls the television and severed all communications from the site of explosion so no broadcast could be possible. It's only that China that reported I think that we heard of it.
DA
Actually Edward said South Korea
Ignore that one.
The reports showed what North Korean television were doing, i.e. the normal durge of propaganda and praise of Kim Il Sung the eternal leader, and not how they were reporting the disaster. Hence the newsreader singing at the viewers, and the titles showing the sun rising above the mountains where Kim's son was apparently born.

The newsreader was SINGING? I thought she was broadcasting the news in a deep severe manner.
Okay, I take back all I say. Mind you, the only thing I thought how it couldn't have been South Korea was that South Korea would have better broadcasting facilities.
Apologies.

I'd think stations in South Korea could afford a better set than that. I've seen South Korean newscasts, and they look considerably more Westernized than that (the anchors actually wear Western clothes for one thing). Also, the "titles" from that bulletin look very much like communist propaganda, which would lead me to think it's from the North.
