7.30am morning show with a 1pm repeat.

I believe that Xchange was 4.30pm until a year ago.

There may be no Xchange presenters left the way things are going Wink
Holly Willoughby left, (replaced by Jean Anderson?)
Rhodri Owen left
Steve Wilson has left (did he replace Rhodri?)
Tony Craig has announced he's leaving

By my reckoning the programme's down at least 2 presenters on six months ago - this could be three depending on if Rhodri was ever replaced.

(Current roster : Sarra, Anna, Jean, Ade, Joe, Ortis)

Are there new presenters coming on board or is the show going to a one presenter with Vinnie / Hot Dog format?

Has someone moved up from CBBC presentation to the show, or are they just on holiday? The Scottish bloke who does Raven seems to be presenting on CBBC Channel - he doesn't seem too bad at it.

If Blue Peter needs more presenters (which they do with pregnant presenter anyway) there could be a shortage Wink at this rate

The publicity (BBC Press Office http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/proginfo/tvwk36.shtml click Monday)for Xchange doesn;t help - two presenters who have gone are there, but who is the bloke to the right of Vinnie?

I'm not much for the current font, it's trying to be cool with all of the graffiti and everything, which is strange.

One minute you're watching XChange with all grafitti trying to make it look cool, and then you've got Newsround telling children to stop it, no wonder kids are confused!

The original set for the CBBC Channel-ised XChange was nice and colourful without all of the graffiti and 'trendy logo'.
The whole show was different as it had Jez Edwards & Angellica Belle as two main presenters of a 90 minute morning show, meaning that things were adlibbed, often went wrong and they just had fun. They weren't trying to be funny with sketches and jokes, it just was!

And with no Big Breakfast, not even a RI:SE, I'm not one for watching cartoons, so I'd prefer something back like that.

I completely agree with you there. I watched it in the morning when it was like that. The morning show seems to follow a format that never changes now. I sometimes watch it in the morning, but only when Dave Chapman's on because he's actually funny and writes better links. It's a shame Steve Wilson's leaving though. I thought he and Vinnie together were always very good as a team and always managed to be different from the rest when presenting. The only stuff I can remember from CBBC 1998 time is Otis the Aardvark and Steve playing about with stupid sketches...

Ooh! A new look! Is that just a new set?
New titles would be nice.
With the old logo (lovely logo), and nice titles, why they got rid of them so soon I dont know.

I don't know why they changed it so soon. It seemed to be gradual though from that to the current logo and font etc. BBC Broadcast designed the original 2002 look, but I don't know if they continued. Maybe they wanted to make it more in-house for the stings etc. so changed it gradually. The guy credited under graphics does a fair few shows though, and could work for BBC Broadcast anyway...
Although I'd like to see it go and a whole new package in, I think the logo and font will stay as the website uses both so comprehensively, it would take too much time to change. Having said that, they have had a new(ish) exec. producer recently, so I suppose she has the final say on what happens and if she likes it and feels need to change it. It would be a good time to get in a complete re-launch though as presenters are going and the new studio is coming in etc.

I don't know how I know so know about one show. Confused How sad. Anyway, suppose it comes as a consequence of reading the credits...

Agree there AJB. Dave is always great with his characters, and Steve was a great presenter for XChange, i hope he goes on to better things.
Even on Live & Kicking he was great, even though it was up against SM:tv so they stood no chance!
I loved it when he used to present Pants on Fire, just for the high pitch rock singing of "Pants on Fiiiiiiieeeeerrrrr!"

Very good!

It would be an ideal time to relaunch with a new set and everything, but I doubt they will.
There's just something about the current titles and graphics compared to the original ones that lack something, they look very rough in comparison.
They should turn it back into a breakfast show, and get Angellica back with Jez. Isn't Jez doing a show with kirsten on BBC 7? And Angellica's going to have finished doing the saturday show, and gemma will be with andrew, though i bet that will change, which is a shame as they've bonded well over the summer!

They haven't really got a shortage of CBBC Channel presenters, they've got Ranni, Abs, Gemma (who will most probably return when Angellica's back for One & Two), Mohinni, Simon, Jake, Barney, they've even got Anne from Stitch Up and James (is it?) from Raven to use too.

Seems as though other channels only have 3-6 presenters. Though it is live through the day.

Don't worry, you can expect BIG changes... Some surprising ones which you probably won't expect too Wink

Ooh! I thought u said that they weren't changing anything other than the set, intriguing! It's a shame I've got to wait till a week monday. Unless I get a freeview box and take it with me!

Do u know where the newsround updates have moved to Aston?
They did used to be in TC2, didn't they?

Thanks for that, so it's still near the channel then, but they've been flung around a bit!

You're right Aston about the BIG changes - it really is a case of would the last presenter of Xchange please turn off the lights. Another two gone today (or rather after tomorrow morning's show) - Joe (who has a channel 5 prog anyway) and Sarra. Poor girl - first the Saturday Show gets pulled for the winter and she loses her show, now she's off Xchange.

That leaves - Ortis, Ade, Jean, Anna - but there's still three days this week to get rid of them Wink

Vinnie (& his keeper Dave Chapman) will obviously be back as t the competition held to create a space for him.
Ade has been advertised for X Marks the Spot so one assumes he will be back.

Would the show be going to one presenter or are some of the CBBC Channel presentation team going to appear?

Are any of the redundant presenters going to appear on Blue Peter?

Well that's my only reason for watching it gone.

I met the scottish bloke a while back when he was acting in a play in Edinburgh, nice enough lad although I think he's still getting to grips with the presenting.

Yes, I still think he's getting to grips, but I think he's quite good, and they should keep him. He's not patronising and over active, but also not dull (and seemed to calm down Anne the other day and she wasn't too bad).

Maybe all children's presenters, CiTV, Nickeloden, X-change have fallen down a large hole.

I think all of x-change's contracts have been set to run out now, and not many have been offered/wanted to have them back.

I think a small, regular team would suit xchange better, for example Sara, Vinnie, Ortis, Steve and Anna.

Funny you should say that. Looks like he might be doing something different as of tomorrow. Wink ......

as will Gemma.

Aston was right when he said something we wouldn't expect. It also looks like the three presenter format is back in...

I could be mistaken on the info above...
