I don't see why everyone is saying EE is so bad - when it's not as bad as it could be. I mean look at how bad Crossroads was.

However I do agree it hasn't been as good as it could be. No offence to Shane Ritchie but his introduction to the show I believe was the beginning of the downfall.

Shane is only a comedian in my eyes. His face all to familiar to me and he brings his "real worldness" and comic lines to it that I really don't think suit the show.

I think the Cat & Zoe arguement about Cat being her mother was THE BEST moment I have ever seen in a Soap. (Anyone got a fair length clip of that). Shame to see Jesse Wallace leaving. Looks like the Slater family is slowly dyeing off. and this new family on the square I hate. They're just too outrageous and "gadgie" for the show.

According to Digital Spy (quoting The Sun), the new producer is going to bring in more gangsters. Now that's what the show really needs isn't it?

Will someone queue up the Funeral March?

Well I think this new lady is brill - already she's axed the Xmas storyline, rumoured to have told 14 they're going, banned Ronnie Fereira (?) from going to any more clubs and brought in a new slater!

Does anyone else think tonight has plumbed new depths?

The story of Martin and his nutty stalker is the most hackneyed rubbish I've seen in years. She apparently doesn't have a job to speak of, so has been creeping round the square every single day. Tonight we see her leaving droppings around like chocolates and love notes. As Martin finds these we hear him 'thinking aloud'. Now he's solving riddles she's set for him.

It's just awful.

That Gangster story made me laugh - first nail in the coffin.

Stuck with ITV1 tonight and watched the Caron Keeting programme - so can't comment on the stalker thing, but I had the misfortune to catch Fridays episode (my Freeview box crashed - choice was limited!) and it was so painfully bad - Alfie's "breakdown" was one of the worst piece of soap I've seen in ages.

The thing is EE never makes you smile or laugh out loud to break the misery.

Take Hollyoaks tonight - Bombhead (David) on his quest to be a Saint - and Craig tells him that he'll have to be Saint Bombhead as there is already a Saint David.

Bombhead replies that isn't true as he met a bloke once with two dogs and they were both St Bernards. Classic! Wink

Oh, I don't know. Just the idea that someone would be that interested in Martin Fowler is hilarious! Andy and Dennis can be funny too. It often makes me smile and sometimes laugh out loud and often I yell in sympathy with the characters. I have neighbours just like the Millers and it is quite therapeutic to yell at the screen - I should yell at the neighbours, but I'm a coward. This is more entertaining to me than the 'reality' shows.
