According to last years Statement on Meridian's website there were plans to revamp Meridian tonight with a new set etc. Will it happen in 20002

I saw that statement in September.

I read in Broadcast in December last year that there were plans by Meridian's owners Granada, to redraw the map for regional news coverage. It reported that there was plans to close down the Thames Valley sub-region based in Newbury, and merge it with the South sub-region, which I guess would mean there would be two sub-regions (similar to the way that TVS had it's areas structured across the region).
