Hi All,

In this recent cold spell they keep rattling on about listen to your local tv & radio.

Well here's a joke, did your hear about the program Meridian tonight where theres no mention of your area at all.

I lve in Medway Towns so why when i put on this so called local news program our area, dont get a mention.

I got Good old Fred Dinenage going on about Hampshire, Oxford, Reading and Bournemouth. but not us aint we important.

It was 15 minutes into the program before they mentioned wait for it maidstone.

Its bad enough on gmtv when we get the same but now its like it at six oclock.

Do we not get our own regional program now?
It used to amaze me when the sport section came on and they told us about Charlton Athletic, i know geography wasn't my strongest subject at school but when has charlton been in Kent.

Well i wont be watching Mr Dinenage And Sageeta anymore, im defecting to BBC1 South East Today at least thats still local well for now.....

This belongs in the Newsroom, but I totally understand your point.

The problem lies with the amalgamation of two studios early last year, cost cutting.

Last night there was an issue with "local" segments. The SE version failed and it was a vbery muffled start. No SE yesterday hwoever last night;s late news did feature the two split versions. Tonight was back to normal with the most "local" show produced as possible.
