You may kill me for posting this here but there isn't a relevent forum for general media discussion...anyway. I know a lot of people on the board work within the Television industry so I was wondering if any of you are going to the MediaGuardian Edinbugh International Television Festival at the end of August, or have any of you been before. What is it like? What sort of things happen? Are the party's any good?

I am going to Television and Young People which is part of the festival, and I know that the social side of the events overlap so I was just wondering, what it is like. I'm especially intrigued by the Saturday night party hosted by Music Television, it sounds like fun!

So is anyone else going to MediaGuardian Edinbugh International Television Festival or Television and Young People?

Cheers

Mike

I know one or two people going to Television and Young People, as well as a MediaGuardian Edinburgh International Television Festival employee who helps to organise Television and Young People.

I hear it's very educational, entertaining, and informative. I hope you enjoy it.

I've just come back from a drink with a friend who is going to the Edinurgh Festival. But I think that's more the arts one, than the television one.

Edinburgh's really got more than its fair share of festivals. See http://www.edinburgh-festivals.co.uk/ for details of all ten of them.

They appear to have missed the one which centres in my flat.

Well I don't remember seeing any invites to the launch party!

No invites necessary - just follow the dress code.
