LWT - You're Weekend ITV

It may have been a slip up but just before the ITV Evening news this evening 'This is LWT -- you're weekend ITV' made a welcome comeback ! Far better than 'This is LWT - part of ITV1'....

I've heard 'Your Weekend ITV' quite a lot, the announcer Glen likes using it and I like the slogan for one. All we need is a few more mentions of 'London Weekend Television' instead of LWT and I'll be happy. I think Glen did try 'Your ITV1 at the weekend' but its been ditched I think - doesn't have the same ring to it does it?

Yes, I too like the slogan 'LWT you're weekend ITV' ..I wish LWT could say a few more....any idea's?

Ah - no it isn't a slipup - their slogan is 'Your weekend ITV' - 'Your weekend ITV1' doesn't sound the same does it

Some common phrases:

'LWT - Your weekend ITV'
'LWT - broadcasting across the best days of the week' (usually only used for the first ident of the weekend)
'Across the weekend - this is LWT'
'This is LWT - part of ITV1'

We all know this could be the last night of the LWT Videowall, I hope it's not I like the Videowall, I just wish their were some more variations of it!

I suppose we could try and get some suggestions for new slogans --- maybe Glen might use one or two......

My suggestion for openers ' All Weekend, this is LWT' or 'This is London Weekend Television -- the weekend ITV1'

'Relax at the weekend - Carlton is gone! This is LWT'?

How about:

'Broadcasting throughout the weekend - this is LWT'
'ITV1 at the weekend - this is LWT'
'For the weekends in London - this is LWT'

Or 'This is LWT, which stands for London Weekend Television'

'This is London... It's the Weekend... And ITV1 is proudly brought to you by LWT !'

I've always wanted them to say:

'This is London Weekend Television - television for London at the weekend.'



A bit 'It does exactly what it says on the tin'-ish though!
