Yep - i saw it
Would you believe that the theme music is a remix of Moby's We're All Made Of Stars - i'm getting the theme.

Moby did the first Liquid News music too, I think because he got on quite well with Christopher Price when he was interviewed on Zero 30 (remembering back to that show, News 24 in those early months had much more of a buzz about it).

What next for Paddy? Anyone know? He's obviously versatile and, actually, missed on the World Business Report I'd say - but now he's done the "personality presenter" gig maybe that wouldn't be a comfortable move.
I think he did a damn good job of filling unfillable shoes on L.N., so I hope the demise of the programme doesn't count against him.

Is the 15 minute version of Liquid on News 24 also being axed?
If so, Julie MacDonald was the final presenter last weekend.

Yes - Julie presented the last Liquid News show for News 24, which went out last weekend.
HOWEVER - the Liquid News Loops (which are available on the web and via the red button on digital satellite) will be continuing.

Ah the Liquid Loops. We like them. Still upset, not long to go now...
Anyway, I've uploaded much of this before, but there's an extra added bonus this time!
Firstly I've stuck the various Liquid News stings etc back online for anyone who wants them, from both the original Chris Price style and the 2002 revamp. You can get them at the following:
2000 Opening: www.concisehost.co.uk/ln2000open.mp3
2000 Closing: www.concisehost.co.uk/ln2000close.mp3
2002 Opening Bed: www.concisehost.co.uk/ln2002open1.mp3
2002 Opening Titles: www.concisehost.co.uk/ln2002open2.mp3
2002 Closing Titles: www.concisehost.co.uk/ln2002close.mp3
2002 Sting 1: www.concisehost.co.uk/ln2002sting1.mp3
2002 Sting 2: www.concisehost.co.uk/ln2002sting2.mp3
2002 Sting 3: www.concisehost.co.uk/ln2002sting3.mp3
And those are all the jingles I have.
Now, for those of you who don't know, the current music comes from Moby's "We Are All Made of Stars" - The DJ Tiesto Remix, which is about 8mins long. It can be fairly easily sound.
However, the original music came from an unreleased Moby track called "Bedhead" - which was dropped from an album and never officially got any further.
I'm happy to report that after much Googling, and persuading some really weird American, I managed to track down a copy of it. And this seems like as good a time as any to make it more generally available.
So here, for the first time (as far as I know) is the full thing...
www.concisehost.co.uk/bedhead.mp3
Please note these won't be staying up for long. Probably only 'til mid-afternoon tomorrow and then I go away on holiday for a while. But go ahead and grab 'em, and if they're gone by the time you notice this, gimme a shout. I'm sure I'll be able to send them over!
