If it was true there is no way calendar would become ITV News North East, as that would leave Tyne Tees nameless! and Border News would not become ITV News North!!!

Surely this post is flawed by stating that they will follow the suit of HTV where they both changed from
HTV Wales News, HTV West News (effectively) to
ITV Wales News, ITV West News.
Surely they arent going to change the above two to:-
ITV News Wales, ITV News West? IT doesnt make any sense really! But I can see the regional names eventually going along the lines of the ITV Central News etc!

What about Scottish, Grampian, UTV and Channel though?
They aren't owned by ITVplc so they wouldn't be affected would they?

Border's were absolute rubbish but at least they were their own!

He is right, since Channel, Grampian, Scottish, UTV are not owned by ITV PLC, they are not affected.

I agree with HavenLad, there's no way Border News could be renamed ITV News North. Plus we'd lose the Lookaround brand !!!
