P.S. I'm sure this has been covered at some point in the last 20 years but did Thames and LWT (and then Carlton/LWT) have agreements in place to advertise each others programmes?

They did, but I seem to remember it wasn't very often and when it did happen it was 'Monday on ITV' rather than 'Monday in Thames'

The main time I remembering it happening was when they used to have American mini series that went out on, say Sunday Monday Tuesday. Also there is a clip I've seen on here of a Thames Thursday night closedown where they list the schedule for Friday night, but again it's not mentioned as being Thames

I remember on one very rare occasion a Friday night programme menu slide on Thames, again branded as 'ITV'.

What I find strange is that ITV has various brands that they use for certain programmes such as those shown here. https://www.itvstudios.com/global-production

I imagine some of them are acquisitions. None of these have any connection to the former regional companies, however.

No different from Fremantle and All3Media having various companies under one roof.

It’s not unusual, no, but given they eradicated regional company names in terms in favour of “ITV Studios”, it’s strange that they’ve retained dual branding in a different way.
