ITV problems

Yes, I just realised that just after I posted. Forgot I had switched them around

An apology to "viewers in the North" over the end credits of The X Factor.

Ironic that the apology cannot be heard in the North! Well on Freeview SD.

All ITV channels saying they're scrambled or can't be decoded on my TV from Winter Hill, HD is fine though.

Yeah, I'm on Belmont too, and ITV, ITV2 and ITV+1 are all black. My mum just had to watch the end of X Factor using ITV Player's live stream.

I can't believe they've still not sorted it out. ITV, more like Sh*teTV.

It's a Sunday night! They might not have all the technical staff in to sort it out as fast as possible.

ITV, +1 and ITV2 also off in Granada. ITV3 and ITV4 fine.

Amazed there isn't an automatic backup of a region from the Southern Transmission centre if Leeds falls over.

It's not neccessarily their fault. To me it seems like the encoders for the northern ITV channels are not working as their streams are missing from the multiplex, which may be an Arqiva issue.


Given the way they've all disappeared it suggests there is a power cut wherever the encoders are, and given that Granada HD IS on air and Arqiva haven't yet rerouted them to Southern regions, it would suggest that the problem is indeed on Arqiva's end and not Northern Transmissions.
