Warning: John Gibson's own brand of c**p may be coming to a book shop near you! Not content with lying and generally talking BS on television, everyone's favourite NeoCon has released a book.
While I am sure I won't be buying a copy anytime soon it is interesting to read the reviews on amazon.com. Dear Lord, please save us from the bouffant devil.
The dweeb even got a slot on Bill O'Reily's show to shamelessly plug its publication.
Now, I don't like O'Reily very much, but he is often quite fair and reasoned in his opinions (anti-death penalty, for instance). To my surprise, he didn't go easy on Gibson, and our spectacled friend looked quite stunned.
In the end it turned out that Gibson couldn't even adequately explain his own opinions in the book. If I'd seen that review, and even if I were a neo-Con, I wouldn't have bought it.
I'm moderately amused by the front cover. I bet you a fiver that Gibson said to the designer "Hide my gorky smile". If you look at the original picture that is used, you'll see what I mean.

Yeah O'Reilly does (ironically) seem to be one of the more balanced on the channel. Ironic, because he is the only one on the channel that doesn't try to dress up his opinions in fair and balance mantra by constantly pleading that his show is a 'News Analysis Show' based on his view. I actually quite like him, I certainly don't agree with all that he says, but his views are always well argued and he really does well in picking holes in others arguments.
Gibson on the other hand is nothing but Racist. His pursuit to rubbish the European culture is nothing short of obsessive.

Aside from his frustrating tendency to cut off anyone who poses a decent counter-argument (one guy that was questioned over his company cold-calling people argued that News Corp paid people to do just that was met with an effective "shut up, this is my show").

Agreed, he's determined to interpret every piece of anti-american sentiment (and that's everything
he
thinks of as anti-american, like the German courts releasing the 9/11 guy) is due to jealousy of America's financial, military or god-knows-what-other-thing power. Then he starts on the French, which IS just racist, they don't need to be mentioned - he'll find a link!
Couple of other things I noticed - am I desensitised to their bias or are Fox giving the election coverage a somewhat more balanced view than everything else (a good thing if true)? Also, Gibson's bouffant hair looks idential to The Day Today's roving reporter guy - anyone know who I mean?
Another fine example of the quality Fox 'News' broadcasting.
I wonder how different things will be on the channel if the Republicans lose the November election. Could things actually be worse than they already are?!
