Just seen the full team sheet graphics for BBC Sport on the replay on BBC Two they feature footage of all the players turning to the camera overlayed onto them.

Wouldn't be too surprised if the host broadcaster feed features it too.

The BBC scorebar also now flips to reveal the word "Goal" on a red* background when someone scores.

The gap between US and UK presentation is closing! Having said that ITV were doing things like that years ago.

*Colour actually corresponds to the colours of the team that scores.

I remember when itv's scorebar did the 'GOAL' wording possibly for euro 2000. Everything comes back around; as itv's graphics are showing they're heavily 70's influenced. I'm not sure that scorebar does need to be so big, however the backing to it is very transparent.

The titles, I prefer itv's as they have been kept very simple, retro, but simple. It's the freaky players heads in places that puts me off the BBC's.

In terms of studio, both very similar, and both seem to work with the theming. Itv's has a lot of different patterns and textures though that I'm not so sure about with the BBC's being cleaner.

Yeah itv are just entering into hbs's world feed with their graphics and overlaying it with their own way too big scoreboard, so those player graphics you referred to is also on the main host feed, it will probably be on rte as well if they are doing the same thing as itv.

As to the goal thing I don't remember itv or bbc doing this but certainly sky sports did on their replay wipes in the mid 90s

I am going to see what espn and BEIN sport is doing with their studio and graphics presentation, I am wondering if Richard Keys and co are also in Brazil.

Does anyone know who else is in that studio building aside from ITV and BBC and how well they fared?

Sweden's equivalent of the BBC, SVT, are presenting from Rio, with what looks to be a smaller studio in a similar location (though the view I saw was during the night and their main presentation area for the show I saw was quite a long way downstage of the window)

They're in the studio next to ITV apparently. They even share Glen Hoddle.

I've always wondered why ITV insist on having an ITV Sport logo on screen. The BBC get away with a colour scheme but ITV seem to insist on wasting space.

Say what you will about Adrian Chiles but my God a very flat atmosphere in the BBC studio! Like a funeral!

It's always the issue with these tournaments - the studio is so removed from the action. The touchline reporter brings more of the atmosphere.

BBC coverage has a Radio 1 commentary with Scott Mills on the red button.
