After a lengthy break, he attempted to relaunch himself as a producer but his efforts - The Terry and Gaby Show and Boys and Girls - both flopped. Now he is back presenting the Brits, which takes place at Earls Court in London on February 9.

Actually glad to see him back presenting - he was one of the best presenters of the 90's and is one of the best producers around.

His main problem was not moving on when things don't work anymore - i.e. TFI Friday.

You've summed it up perfectly.

Of the nineties, one of the best.

Of the twenty-first century, NO, not even in the top thousand.

To be fair he's rarely appeared on TV this century - only driving the buggy on Boys and Girls and possibly occassionally in the background on Terry & Gabby and Live with Christ Moyles.

Interesting you should say that, as up until TFI he seemed to demonstrate quite a knack of quitting whilst he was ahead. He left The Big Breakfast and Don't Forget Your Toothbrush whilst they were both at the height of their popularity and before they'd gone stale.

Well now that Billie Piper is doing proper work, it looks like he might have to again hehe!

I like Evans on TFI Friday and The Big Breakfast, but i'm just bored of him now.

I will watch though, just to see if hes still got the stupid glasses Laughing

Moyles may be the 'saviour of Radio One' but that is elevating him far too highly Laughing

Haven't they split up tho'? Anyway, surely he's made enough money never to have to work again.

According to the Daily Mirror , ITV wanted Jonathon Ross to present the Brits, but BBC bosses wouldn't allow him to appear on a rival network.

Somebody should point out to either the BBC or the Daily Mirror that he's been presenting the British Comedy Awards on ITV for years.

He didn't leave until C4 axed the show though.
