Does anyone think its time for Emmerdale to change its opening titles or should they stay the way they are?. I think they're due for a change personally, I remember seeing a preview of the new titles on The Big Breakfast on the week the new titles were supposed to air!.

Who are those people on the titles anyway? Confused

Totally random people who have nothing to do with the show! They "convey the range of the emotions" in the show, or something.

Agreed, the opening titles need changing!

The people on the current opening titles aren't past characters from the show, as some people tend to think. 'Unknown' actors were intentially used and the title shots are meant to reflect the various emotions that drive the soap.

I think these ones have been on screen since about 1999 - yes, it's certainly time for a change!

Well, I think most of the soaps need title revamps. Look at EastEnders

I think Emmerdale has one of the freshest title sequences of the soaps. Even though it's been around for five years!
I love the fly in to the village and the fly away on the end credits, and i love the current emmerdale theme music.

I say that the freshest titles are family affairs at the moment as they're always changing, but now they are great with the pans across London and clever mixing and cutting before u get to charnham.

Where as look at Eastenders, the same since day 1, except updated, maybe they could do some new titles, perhaps flying along the river to the east end.

Hollyoaks, the clips change, the music was change in the past few years, yet the style of titles have been used for years.

Coronation Street, it's ok to add more house and a train, but it's still just shot's of houses!

Not a train. Tram actually. A Metrolink tram to be precise . . .

Family Afairs?, do they change them as much as Neighbours?

Eastenders did change their titles slightly in the early 90's. They funked up the music and London had a green tinge. However, the world and it's mother complained, so it reverted to how it was.

Eastenders had had 3 title sequences. The original one (black & white land with blue river) which was used 1985-93, the colour one which was originally accompanied by the jazzy theme 1993-99 and the widescreen CGI map 1999-.

Actually the dome wasn't built when they were done and it, and the fancy tube station were entirely computer generated.
